Peter Gray + The Producer
I grew up in Brisbane. At the age of 16, I discovered ice skating and fell in love with it I skated at the rink all the time, and I do mean all the time.
I found out that if you worked there, you didn't need to pay to skate there. But what to do?
The canteen didn't interest me. Taking money on the door No, thanks! Then someone suggested having a go at being the DJ—the people who play the music while you skate round and round—loved it, and I was great at it, and that's how I started being a DJ.
Over the years, it progressed—more skating, of course—but then I would be asked to play at parties. Over the years, that has progressed to working with some of the best DJ businesses here in Perth since I moved here.
And then I discovered radio, did a course, volunteered for a few stations, and now am broadcasting here at 88.5 FM.
I love the Beatles and Elvis—they were the best—but I have a varied and eclectic taste in music.
Love traveling but can't always afford it.
