🎲 2. Winner Determination (Random Draw)
All eligible Australian participants with a full and correct 31-clue crossword entry will be entered into the $500 cash random prize draw. The winner is selected via a random draw upon competition close.
👤 3. Proof of Residency & Identity
- Open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over.
- To claim the $500 prize, the drawn entrant must provide valid proof of Australian residency and identity (e.g., Australian Driver Licence, Passport, Proof of Age card, or Medicare card showing an Australian address).
- If a drawn entrant cannot verify residency within 7 business days, a redraw will occur.

- Station presenters, staff, and contractors are strictly ineligible to win.

1. PROMOTER & CLASSIFICATION: The promoter is Ellenbrook Community Radio Inc (trading as 88.5 FM), Perth, Western Australia. This promotion is conducted as a trade promotion; entry is 100% free with no purchase necessary.
2. PROMOTIONAL PERIOD: Opens 12:01 AM AWST on October 1 and closes 11:59 PM AWST on October 31. Entries submitted after this deadline will not qualify for the prize draw.
3. ENTRY & FAIR PLAY: Strictly one entry per person. Each player is limited to a maximum of two (2) letter reveals per daily clue. Any use of automated scripts, data harvesting, or bot submissions will result in immediate disqualification.
4. WINNER SELECTION: All eligible entrants who complete all 31 clues accurately will enter a random prize draw conducted promptly after the competition closes.
5. RESIDENCY & AGE VERIFICATION: Entrants must be Australian residents aged 18 or older. The drawn winner must supply government-issued photo ID or approved proof of residency within 7 business days, or the prize will be forfeited and redrawn.
6. PRIZE PAYMENT: The $500 cash prize will be transferred via EFT to an Australian bank account bearing the winner's legal name within 14 business days of verification. In accordance with ATO guidelines, this trade promotion prize is non-assessable/tax-free to the recipient.
7. FINALITY: All station decisions concerning eligibility, gameplay, and prize dispatch are final and binding.

A new crossword clue unlocks on this web page at 12:00 AM (midnight) AWST every day in October. Presenters will also drop spoken clues and audio teasers throughout breakfast and drive shifts.
Q: How many hints/reveals can I use?
To keep the competition fair for everyone, each participant is permitted a maximum of 2 letter reveals per clue.
Q: What if I miss a day or join halfway through October?
Don't worry! All previous days remain completely unlocked and accessible throughout the entire month. You can catch up and solve earlier clues at any time before October 31.
Q: Will I lose my answers if I close my web browser?

Q: How and when is the $500 prize paid?
