Anzac Day

Anzac Day

Australians and New Zealanders observe Anzac Day as a day of reflection to remember the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) soldiers who served in World War I.

It’s a day to remember the those who gave their lives or suffered greatly while serving our nation. We remember and honour Anzac Day every year on April 25 with parades, ceremonies, memorials, and services.

Anzac Day is a significant aspect of our national identity because it gives us a chance to come together as a country to honour those who gave their lives in World War I while also serving as a reminder of their bravery and sacrifice.

It is the time for us to consider their bravery and dedication while also acknowledging their loss.

88.5FM commerates ANZAC day at 6pm with our programming, our salute to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. During the day – ANZAC songs will be played.

88.5FM will also be at the Dawn Service as we lay a wreath in rememberance.
