For over 43 years Swan City Youth Service (SCYS) has been providing assistance for young people in the Midland and surrounds.

The service began in 1982, with one staff member housed with other services in the Midland Town Hall. In 2017 SCYS moved into its now home, a purpose-built centre on Padbury Terrace, with financial support from Lotterywest and the City of Swan.
