I was born and raised in Perth and I have always had a strong connection to my local community.

I own four IGA supermarkets across Perth, including Ellenbrook, where I've spent years working with local families, suppliers and community groups. Through my businesses, I've seen firsthand the importance of supporting local people and giving back wherever possible.

Freddy Austin is a passionate community voice and radio presenter based in the Swan region of Western Australia.

As an active member of Swan Community Connect, Freddy is dedicated to bringing people together, supporting local initiatives, and giving the community a platform to be heard.

When people hear the name Community Matters, they often think it means that community is important. And it does.

But I've always liked the play on words.
